The shortlist for the Independent Book Award 2022 just announced. Created in 2008, the Indie Book Award aims to reward the best Australian talents, chosen by independent booksellers.
If you’re looking for new titles to add to your ever-growing pile to read, these nominations are a good place to start. Some of the greatest Australian authors you have read or heard of have already won an Indie Book Award. Famous alumni include Tim Winton with BreathAnh Do with The happiest refugee and Jane Harper with The dryto name a few.
In the list below, expect to see past winners such as Trent Dalton (Boy swallows the universe), Karen Foxlee (Lenny’s Book of Everything) and Hannah Kent (Burial rights) come back for new nominations.
