Best MLB prop bets today (Cody Bellinger will cool down, trust Frankie Montas in Sunday’s action)

The BetSided team split some batting props on Saturday, moving our season high to 179-155 in MLB props.

Yours truly has a pair of games for Sunday, August 7th action, complete with a launcher prop and a statement that it’s time to bust Cody Bellinger because he can’t stay this hot forever.

You can also find betting plays and previews of each game on our MLB Picks page, along with each team’s likely pitchers, weather report and more.

Frankie Montas OVER 14.5 recorded outings (-190)

Frankie Montas is making his debut for the New York Yankees, and I think that line is way too low and worth taking despite the -190 juice.

Montas only pitched three innings in his first start for Oakland off the injured list, but his last start he went five innings and needed just 78 pitches to do so.

In 19 starts this season, Montas has gone five innings in all but three outings, and two were due to his recent injury.

Although the St. Louis Cardinals are a solid team, it’s an obvious choice for the new Yankee starter.

Cody Bellinger LESS THAN 0.5 Shots (-105)

Cody Bellinger has actually been hot on the plate, collecting a hit in seven of his last 10 games, but I’m discoloring him on Sunday Night Baseball against the San Diego Padres.

Bellinger still only hits .205 this season and he faces a tough starter in Yu Darvish, who has outplayed him in his career.

Bellinger is 0-for-9 in his career against Darvish with one walk and three strikeouts. At some point, he’s going to calm down, and a match against Darvish seems like a perfect storm.
