Car rips through 30ft embankment after accident

Two men miraculously walked away with only minor injuries after the car they were traveling in crashed 30ft down an embankment.

The incident happened last night, February 5, on Avonwick Road at around 7.15pm.

Buckfastleigh firefighters quickly attended the scene and found the vehicle was on its side and the two men inside the car had managed to get out.

On its Facebook page yesterday, Buckfastleigh Fire Station said: “Tonight [February 5] at 7.14pm we were called to a reported traffic accident on Avonwick Road.

“Upon arrival we discovered that a vehicle had left the roadway and ended up on its side about 30 feet down an embankment.

“Fortunately, the two male occupants of the vehicle managed to exit the car with only minor cuts and bruises.
