[Updated] MangaOwl down or not working? You’re not alone

New updates are added at the bottom of this story…….

The original story (published June 14, 2022) follows:

If you love to read Manga, you must have heard of MangaOwl at some point. It is a website where people can read manga for free.

With a vast collection of manga titles, the interface is quite easy to use. Users can also rate and review each chapter of a manga, helping others decide whether it’s worth watching or not.

That said, many MangaOwl users are now reporting that the website is down or not working at the moment (1,2,3,4,5).

Some first thought it was a problem on their end and tried resetting their internet connection, clearing the browser cache and deleting cookies, but nothing seems to help them.

Many are venting their frustration on social media platforms like Twitter. Here are some MangaOwl user reports that the website is down or not working.

Unfortunately, we haven’t come across any official word from MangaOwl on this. We hope the developers will fix the servers soon and get the website back online.

As always, we’ll be keeping an eye out for more information and updating this space accordingly, so be sure to stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.

Update 1 (June 14)

6:05 p.m. (IST): One of our readers pointed out that MangaOwl changed their website from mangaowl.net to mangaowl.to. So that could be a reason why the website is not opening.

Update 2 (June 15)

10:14 a.m. (IST): A user shared a screenshot of his conversation with Vyvymanga support where he said that the MangaOwl website will be back soon. Here is Vyvy’s full statement.

Update 3 (June 16)

08:57 (IST): In a previous update, we mentioned that MangaOwl had replaced “.net” with “.to”. However, this is not the case because ‘MangaOwl.to’ is not affiliated with MangaOwl websites, as several people have pointed out.

We regret any confusion this may have caused.

Update 4 (June 17)

10:39 a.m. (IST): One of our readers suggested users to restore their bookmarks on Vyvymanga. And to do this, you need to follow the steps mentioned below.

Create an account, go to settings, restore bookmarks, enter your mangaowl email and restore. you will have all your bookmarks again

Thanks for the tip: Wolfgang Bichler!

Update 5 (June 20)

09:57 (IST): According to alleged chatter on the MangaOwl Discord channel, “Owl-san” took a break and directed users to Vyvymanga as an alternative. However, there is no information on how long this “pause” lasts.

Thanks for sharing the info in the comments, Funanya Okafor!

Update 6 (June 21)

09:15 (IST): It looks like MangaOwl fans may have to finally give up hope of the service returning, as the owner has reportedly announced that MangaOwl is shutting down completely and not just on hiatus.

This information was shared via a reader in the comments section below who claims that the announcement was made on the Discord server. Details have not been independently verified.

Thanks for the info Luna Li!

Update 7 (June 22)

09:30 (IST): Although Vyvymanga is a great alternative to MangaOwl, many users report that they are logged into the site with other users’ accounts.

Also, in some cases, users cannot log in through their own accounts.
