Yes, the Starbucks app is down in Philadelphia and central Jersey

If you’re looking for a coffee fix in central Jersey or Philadelphia today, you won’t be able to pre-order on the popular Starbucks app.

Users nationwide have been reporting issues with the app since around 6 a.m. Saturday morning (May 28).

The problems appear to be continuing with reports continuing to rise on the DownDetector.com website, which tracks reports of digital outages like this. This is true at least from 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Of course, many users have taken to Twitter to request an update, and Starbucks says they are aware of the issues. They reminded customers that their stores and drivers are still open.

It’s no surprise, then, that we saw an increase in foot traffic in Starbucks lineups in downtown Philadelphia today.

Customers who usually pay in advance on the mobile app were made to wait like it was 2016 all over again!
